Each Design Eye sign is made specifically for the property, home, farm, business or place it represents.

We can then work with you on the timber, size, shape, lettering and overall appearance to create a sign that suits its surroundings.

We work with a changing selection of native and exotic timbers, each with its own colour, grain and character.
The Macrocarpa sign shown here is one example, but other timber species can be selected depending on the look, size and intended location of your sign.
Tell us the type of appearance you are after and we can recommend suitable timber from what is currently available.
Because our timber stock is constantly changing, individual slabs and pieces may be one-offs.
Designed Around Your Entranceway.
Signs can be made in different lengths, heights, thicknesses and proportions to suit the space they are going into.
We can also consider how the sign will be mounted, whether it will sit between posts, attach to an existing structure, mount against a wall or become part of a larger entranceway.
If you can, send a photograph of the entranceway or location with your enquiry. It helps us develop a sign that suits the space.

You do not need drawings or design files to get started.
Send us the wording, an approximate size and a photo of where the sign will go. From there, we can develop the design and work through the details with you before manufacture begins.

Made from Real Timber.
No two pieces of timber are identical.
Colour, grain, knots, figure and other natural features will vary between signs and are part of what makes each finished piece unique.
We select and work with the timber so these natural characteristics become part of the design rather than something to hide.
For outdoor installations, the finish and timber selection will be considered alongside the environment the sign will be exposed to.
