Every piece is designed around the timber it is made from, then machined and finished in our New Zealand workshop.

Pieces: Side tables, stools, benches, entranceway furniture and one-off designs.
Timber: A range of native and exotic timber species are available.
Dimensions: Custom made to suit your space.
Finish: Selected to suit the timber and intended use.
Lead time: Typically 4–8 weeks, depending on timber selection and workshop schedule.
Delivery: Nationwide freight available, or collection from the Design Eye workshop.

Designed Around the Timber.

Each piece starts with the timber. Grain, colour and natural features guide the proportions and detailing.

The pieces shown here are examples of previous work. Yours will be made specifically for you and will have its own individual appearance.

We work with a changing selection of native and exotic timbers, from figured slabs through to cleaner solid boards.

Once we understand what you are looking for, we help select the timber and develop the design around it.

The timber is prepared, machined and finished in our workshop before the piece is assembled.
